[Kirishima and Bakugo were just on their way to Bakugo's house from school. It was a bit away to walk, but neither of them minded-- actually, they both preferred the longer walk. It was nice, and they'd often race to see who was better and it would always change from who was in first each time.

This time.. well. It had been sprinkling halfway through the day, and neither of them thought to bring an umbrella because it started off sunny. And now, only halfway through the hour long walk home, it was pouring. Absolutely pissing it down on the two of them. The streets started to flood and the two were trapped in a residential area with no one living nearby to stop into the house of, and Bakugo was pissed.]

Are you fucking serious?! It had to flood now?! Couldn't fucking wait until we were in a goodamn house first??!?

I don't get it, it was so clear earlier! [Like where the hell did this rain even come from? Maybe he should have checked the weather or something, but there wasn't a cloud in the sky...and now it was just a miserable mess. Kirishima glanced up at the sky from under a tree they'd taken temporary shelter by, frowning at the angry clouds above them.]

Man...how long is this gonna last? Is it a typhoon?

[It'd be just like fighting a villain, surely. Fighting a typhoon. He squares up some, looking from the rain back to Bakugo with a grin.]

So it doesn't really matter what it is, we just have to go for it!

[You know. Whatever "it" is. Presumably just running? Though he's not actually making any moves to act on that idea.]

First of all, dumbass, there are still cars on the road and they can't see shit and we can barely see their goddamn headlights in this rain! Wanna get run over? Huh? Or better yet, wanna use your stupid Quirk and cause an accident as a car hits your fucking thick skull head on?!

[Kirishima shakes his head, grinning and jerking a thumb towards a nearby building.]

We don't have to use the road, right? If we can get through one of these buildings to the roof, can't we just move around up there? And doing that in a downpour like this, that'll be some great endurance training! [Like sitting under a waterfall.]

[Well now he's fired up, just at Kirishima merely Insinuating that in all of his sixteen years of living, he's never gone outside in the rain with his explosions before.]

No way! I just meant, since it's sweat based, the rain probably makes it a little harder to use! So it'd be a good chance to train! [Probably. He's not positive on that, but it makes sense. The water would wash it away...??

He levels a determined, passionate grin at his friend, clearly fired up in return at that suggestion. Forget training...]

But if you wanna race me man to man, I definitely won't back down!

[Bakugo barks that at his best friend, moving out from underneath their very scattered shelter to start walking towards one of the nearby building, expecting him to follow.]

We'll use the fucking roofs-- that's easy for someone like me even without boosting myself in the air!

I guess I'll just have to give you a run for your money then!! I won't let you get off easily, you know!!
