When it rains, it pours or something deep like that.
[It was absolutely pouring...just coming down in sheets. They'd decided to make a quick run to a store nearby - to get snacks for their study session - but now the two of them found themselves stuck in that shop staring out the window at the downpour. It was fine when they left! Cloudy, sure, and maybe they should have paid more attention to how dark the clouds were getting, but the forecast said that it wouldn't be any worse than a drizzle!]
Drizzle my ass...
[Natsumi shifted her bag of sweets to her other hand, placing the now free one on her hip. The wind breaker she was wearing wouldn't protect her from that storm...no way. At least not long enough to get back to the campus...]
What are we supposed to do now...? Got any ideas, Hinata-kun?

After sitting like that for a few moments though, she sits up, as if she's just realized something, and stares out one of the windows at the rain. Just...staring, waiting for something.]
...you know this is the part of all those romance films where the rain breaks so that the new couple can leave and go home and get dry.
[...come on rain. Follow film logic. Let up so they can get back to campus!! (Spoilers: it's not letting up.)]

[Wait, this was a nice moment, come back... He follows her gaze, though, raising both eyebrows as he watches the rain.
...Well, it looks just as heavy as it had been before, so he returns to his panini, finishing it off with a quiet huff of amusement through his nose.]
Well, I guess that's proof we're not in a film, huh? Besides, I'm not done eating.
[He still has kusamochi to eat! Don't make him abandon his true love.]
no subject
Sitting back, she picks up her panini but doesn't take a bite of it just yet, elbowing him in the side.]
Don't laugh at me!
[She heard that huff!! Alright time to start finishing off her sandwich.]
no subject
Ow, hey!
[He's laughing again in spite of her elbowing, though, holding up a hand as if that might ward off another blow. He doesn't think he can stop smiling, though. He has a girlfriend now?? He's going to be smiling for days.]
So do you like a lot of romance movies, Kuzuryuu?
no subject
I said don't laugh, asshole!
[For once she's the one blushing in embarrassment, quickly stuffing her sandwich in her mouth for another bite, which she just grumbles something around the mouthful of food and looks away. Once she's swallowed she answers.]
N-not a lot! Just a few! It's not like I like a lot of that girly stuff!
[That's a bit of a lie. She enjoys the occasional romance movie, she's just embarrassed because he's laughing.]
no subject
[It's cute! Even though she's hitting him again. But with some difficulty, he stifles his laughter in consideration for her feelings. She's cute when she blushes too, though... He could get used to that.]
Right, right... well, if you decide to watch one some time, let me know. I'm not picky about movies.
[Just let him eat his hot dog in Peace.]
no subject
Maybe. Then again maybe she is also traumatized by hot dogs at the movies. Who can say.
With a huff she takes a few more aggressive bites from her sandwich, pretty quickly finishing it off.]
I guess I could let you know. Since you're my boyfriend.
[Actually that'd be pretty nice? Watching a movie with Hajime...doesn't even have to be a romance one. Could be action. Action movies are always good in her book. Maybe a comedy if it's the right kind of humor?]
no subject
Ah, no, he's grinning again. She did it she called him her boyfriend. Everything's coming up Hajime, winning every day.]
Ah, thanks. I appreciate it.
[But he turns his attention to the rain outside, shaking his head. What if they're stuck here...? They still have homework to work on, ugh. Though he has no idea if he's even going to be able to focus on that now.]
Maybe this weekend... we can do something like that...? If you don't have any other plans, I mean.
no subject
Don't get ahead of yourself Hajime! Get too full of yourself and it'll really suck when your luck runs out. But if they're stuck there that's okay...at least they're stuck together? And besides who wants to do homework!]
This weekend?
[She gives that some thought. Was there...anything she needed to do over the weekend? She's pretty sure it's clear...she can't remember any plans or obligations she has.]
Sure, this weekend's fine. Are we going out or watching in? I don't know what's playing in any of the theatres around here...
no subject
He's just going to keep munching on his kusamochi while she thinks about it, interspersing it with sips of tea. He can't believe he's actually talking about something like this so casually. Seeing a movie with his girlfriend...? This has to be a dream, right?]
Aah... that's up to you. If the rain's going to keep up for a couple days, it might not be a bad idea to hole up on campus and stay in, you think?
[Also, cuddling? Cuddling. Cuddling is what he's thinking about, even if going out to a movie is probably the better date.]
Do you like yakuza films...? We could watch one of the old ones, maybe.
[He doesn't want to assume! Maybe she's the type who gets mad when things aren't right in movies.]
no subject
[And that is the end of that discussion. Putting a stake in that coffin before he's even allowed to try and argue. As if this is an argument she's had before...]
But I guess I like some yakuza films. Oh, if we're going to watch those, I'll borrow some of oniichan's collection! He's really into the old stuff, and he has pretty good taste usually! Have you seen The Yakuza Papers? That's his favorite set. There are like eight or nine movies that are considered part of that series, but the first five are the really good ones.
[And, if he gives her the chance, she'll start listing off a few more, counting them on her fingers and describing them as she does so. "I guess I like some yakuza films" she says.]
